HIGH POINT’S OLDEST COMPANY, BEESON HARDWARE is completing its corporate expansion with the move of the Beeson Decorative Hardware & Plumbing division into its new facility in late April 2007.  The move completes an expansion that began in 2002 with the lumber, contract sales and industrial divisions moving from a 4 acre facility to a 25 acre facility.  Beeson DH&P will be moving into a new 45,000 sq. ft. building on an additional 2.5 acres next to the Beeson Lumber facility.  This expansion will give them 300% more space and will include a 6,000 sq. ft. retail showroom, 5,000 sq. ft. office for support staff of the wholesale operation and 35,000 sq. ft. for warehousing inventory. The new facility was extensively renovated following the purchase of the Claude Gable building at 2210 Geddie Place, High Point.

Beeson Decorative Hardware separated from the contract hardware division in 1986 to focus on wholesaling and retailing decorative hardware.  Business grew from this one buying group which now has an average 20-30% sales growth per year, becoming a well known national distributor of decorative hardware throughout the country.  In 1996 decorative plumbing was introduced and Beeson expanded its product lines to include over 200 different manufacturers and has become the largest specialty decorative hardware and plumbing distributor in the Carolinas.

Beeson DH&P will be catering more to its retail customers with the expansion that provides more room for custom displays which normally are only seen in major metropolitan markets.  Beeson is able to carry these lines and offer them economically to the consumer by passing on their deep discounts from the wholesale business.  Beeson has promoted Bill Farlow, as Sales Manager, to manage and grow local retail business.

Beeson DH&P’s advantage includes the most extensive displays and inventory in the area.  The division carries higher-end specialty lines including Grohe, Rocky Mountain, Rohl, Phylrich, Baldwin Archetypes, THG, Dornbracht, Toto and Miele appliances.  The new showroom will include working toilets, shower and faucet displays as well as a premier Miele kitchen showcasing all appliance categories.  Sample products on display range from copper tubs by Native Trail, glass sinks by Alchemy, spa systems by Ultra and Aquatic, stone tubs and sinks by Stone Forest and toilets by the world’s best flushing toilet; Toto.

Beeson DH&P has one of the largest in-house decorative hardware and plumbing product inventories of any displaying showroom between New York and Florida.  Product categories include; decorative cabinet hardware for kitchen and baths, specialty hardware, decorative door hardware, door locks, toilets, tubs and whirlpools, shower systems, and kitchen and bath faucets.  Over the next 24 months Beeson will hire additional support and sales staff.

Beeson DH&P a division of Beeson Lumber, established in 1883, is a member of the High Point Chamber, the Greensboro and High Point Area Builders Associations and are strong community supporters.  A complete manufacturer listing as well as company information is available on line at their newly re-launched website:  www.beesondirect.com or www.beesonhardware.com
